Our Senior Partner Dr Bradley Viner has announced his retirement after 39 years in the veterinary profession. Bradley qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1978 and established Blythwood Vets at the Hatch End surgery a year later. Under his guidance and stewardship, Blythwood has grown to become a group of five practices providing veterinary healthcare of the highest standard across North West London. Bradley has played a key part in the development of our values and culture within Blythwood, resulting in us achieving two successive Gold Investors In People Awards (one of only two veterinary practices in the country to do so at the time).
Over the years Bradley has been involved in a wide variety of media and PR work on radio, television, books and the press. He is a trustee of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and has also acquired a string of academic accomplishments, completing an MSc and then a Professional Doctorate with Middlesex University, concentrating on the application of clinical auditing (the process of continuous improvement in care and outcomes) to the veterinary profession.
Bradley has been involved at council level in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for many years and went on to become President of the RCVS from 2015 – 2016. Whilst he is stepping back from clinical practice, he will continue doing some consultancy work and will be able to devote more time to what may be his greatest challenge to date: managing his three grandchildren!
